NetSoft Requirements for Using Token-Ring or Ethernet
_____________________________________________________

The NetSoft NS/Router requires the Microsoft 32-bit DLC protocol
be installed to use the token-ring or Ethernet connection type.
The Microsoft 32-bit DLC protocol is included in the Microsoft
Windows 95 Service Pack 1 or later. This can be downloaded from
the Microsoft Windows 95 home page at:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows
Follow the instructions to install the service pack. Make sure
you get the service pack for Windows professionals, because the
other one doesn't include the MSDLC.

Then install the Microsoft 32-bit DLC protocol from the Service
Pack:
- Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click
  Control Panel.
- Double-click Network.
- Click Add.
- Click Protocol, and then click Add.
- Click Have Disk.
- Install from the drive where the service pack is located.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the
  installation.

You must also get an updated dlc.vxd file from Microsoft. Just
search for DLC32UPD.EXE on the MS home page. Expand this file
and install it after installing the Service Pack.

Or you can get both of the above files from Netsoft at:

     http://www.nsrouter.com/qa.htm

On this page just click on MSDLC to download zip file. Unzip
the file and read the README.DOC for specific instructions.

Note: The dlc.vxd file must be from driver build Jan. 12, 1996
or later. To check the driver build date, type trcdlc -s
on the command line in the /windows/system directory. If
you do not have driver build date Jan. 12, 1996 or later,
then you must replace the current copy of dlc.vxd with the
      latest dlc.vxd.
